Born on 16 June 1980 in Karacabey, Bursa. A significant part of his professional life was spent in tourism and hotel management.
At Bursa Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Lisesi, he studied Travel Agency Services and Tour Operations and later continued his education through Anadolu University Open Education Faculty in Tourism Management .
During his years in tourism and hotel management, he lived among different cities, cultures and countless human stories. Years later, he realised that much of what he had observed had begun to find its way into his music and screenplays.
June 2026.
Volkan Sargın began producing music professionally in June 2026. He does not see it as a sudden decision made late in life; rather, he sees it as the moment when years of emotions, observations, people, cities and stories finally demanded to be told.
His songs explore love, separation, longing, loneliness and relationships, but also the ironies of life, human behaviour, personal reckonings and the marks left by lived experience.
Beyond music: cinema.
In the past, he worked on film and television screenplays across different scopes and responsibilities. He wrote some projects in full, while on others he reworked and developed existing stories and scripts. On several projects he wrote, he was also directly involved in developing and guiding the artistic and visual world of the story.
Because many of these works were transferred under confidentiality agreements, rights assignments and commercial contracts at the time, he does not publicly present the project titles today as works under his own name.
Following the characters.
When developing a story, he does not think only about how events begin and end. He builds where the characters come from, what they hide, what changes them, and how their decisions reshape the lives of the people around them.
In his romantic stories, he is interested in more than whether two people will fall in love. He also explores who they become after entering each other’s lives, how the people close to them evolve alongside their story, and how supporting characters can either help or hinder them and ultimately change the direction of the narrative.
A story still unfolding.
In music, he can build a world in a few minutes; in cinema, he gives more room to characters, time and images. But the starting point remains the same: an idea, an emotion, a person, a story.
And he still has so many stories left to tell...
